Utilisation de moyens ludiques pour enseigner la chirurgie orthopédique à du personnel infirmier en soins périopératoires : quand jouer change la donne

La pénurie de personnel infirmier est particulièrement aiguë dans le domaine des soins périopératoires, ce qui pousse les établissements de santé à adapter leurs programmes de perfectionnement pour attirer et former rapidement des infirmières et des infirmiers dans cette discipline. Face à la pénurie actuelle, on constate l’existence de nombreux cours théoriques en ligne accompagnés d’activités pratiques ayant un caractère ludique, notamment des jeux d’évasion, de simulation et de réalité virtuelle adaptés à la culture interprofessionnelle et multigénérationnelle du milieu périopératoire. Il a été démontré que les activités d’apprentissage ludiques dans les environnements périopératoires renforcent l’engagement, l’esprit d’équipe, la rétention des connaissances, les capacités de résolution de problèmes et les compétences techniques. Cette revue de la littérature examine l’efficacité des activités d’apprentissage ludiques dans le domaine de la chirurgie orthopédique. Le secteur des soins infirmiers périopératoires orthopédiques est confronté à des défis particuliers, tels que la complexité des instruments, les exigences élevées des soins périopératoires et un degré d’engagement du personnel plutôt faible. L’intégration d’activités ludiques dans la formation périopératoire orthopédique peut aider les infirmières et les infirmiers en soins périopératoires à mieux retenir les connaissances, à améliorer leurs compétences techniques et à renforcer leur esprit d’équipe.
