Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Join the movement to advance perioperative nursing! Submit your work for consideration and share your expertise!

We invite perioperative professionals to contribute to the ORNAC Journal, your source for leading-edge thought and developments in the field of perioperative nursing. In the spirit of ORNAC’s core values of knowledge and collaboration, you are encouraged to share your experiences and expertise. We welcome unsolicited manuscripts about clinical research that uses quantitative or qualitative data, or a mixture of both (mixed methods), presented in such forms as original research, literature or systematic reviews, retrospectives, randomized control trial reports or protocols, data analyses, or survey results and analyses, to name a few.

Our journal is now open access, so it has a global reach. Publishing with us lets you contribute to and expand the global knowledge bank about perioperative nursing for the benefit of both professionals and patients.
