The Imposter Phenomenon: If I’m So Successful, Why Do I Feel Like A Fake ?
Abstract
The Imposter Phenomenon is a psychological syndrome or pattern, and it is based on intense, secret feelings of fraudulenoe in the face of success and achievement. If you suffer from the imposter phenomenon (I.P.), you believe that you don’t deserve your success and you’re a phoney who has somehow “gotten away with it.” You aren’t the person you appear to be to the rest of the world.
